This Dixon Boss GB Series Ground Joint seal stem hose fitting is made of plated iron and connects a high-pressure air and steam hose to a male NPT threaded connection. It has a barbed end to create a tight seal on a hose when used with a hose clamp or crimp sleeve or ferrule (not included) and a female National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on the other to connect to male NPT threaded connections. This fitting is made of plated iron for strength, malleability, ductility, and resistance to corrosion and it has a polymer seat for chemical resistance. This Boss ground joint fitting is recommended for steam service up to 450 degrees F.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems.
